Proud To Be A Part Of This Amazing Organization
We’re thrilled to share our recent experience at the Ambucs Regional Conference right here in Lubbock! For those who may not know, Ambucs is an incredible non-profit organization dedicated to creating mobility and independence for people with disabilities through their Amtryke therapeutic tricycle program, providing scholarships for therapists, and performing community service. At Hart Heating & AC, we believe wholeheartedly in their mission to create opportunities for independence and mobility. That’s why we’ve been supporting this wonderful organization for several years now. This conference brought together Ambucs chapters from across our region to share ideas, celebrate successes, and most importantly, continue changing lives through their incredible work. We couldn’t be prouder to be associated with such a meaningful cause that makes such a tangible difference in our community.
Our Ambucs adventure began bright and early Friday morning with a round of golf. Our team joined dozens of other local businesses and Ambucs members for a beautiful day on the links. Despite some challenging winds (it wouldn’t be Lubbock without them!), we managed to put together a decent round! Between shots, we connected with other community-minded business owners and heard incredible stories about how Ambucs has transformed lives. The camaraderie and shared purpose made even the occasional sliced drive into the rough worth it. By the end of the day, we were tired but inspired by the generosity on display from our fellow Lubbock businesses.
Friday evening took us from the golf course to the dirt arena as we attended the legendary ABC Rodeo at the Lubbock Municipal Coliseum. This wasn’t just any rodeo – it was the 82nd annual event sponsored by Ambucs, making it one of the longest-running rodeos in Texas! We watched in awe as cowboys and cowgirls displayed incredible skills in events from bull riding to barrel racing. The stands were packed with enthusiastic fans, and we bumped into many of our customers who were surprised and delighted to see us supporting such a beloved local tradition. What many people don’t realize is that this rodeo is one of Ambucs’ major fundraising events of the year. Between the cheers and excitement, we couldn’t help but feel proud knowing that our ticket purchases and sponsorship were going directly toward helping people with mobility needs in our community.
Saturday was the heart of the conference. This was the day we’d been looking forward to most – the Amtryke giveaway. Our team had the incredible honor of presenting a custom-fitted therapeutic tricycle to deserving local child. The look of pure joy on their face as they pedaled independently for the first time is something we’ll never forget. Later, we listened to powerful testimonials from previous Amtryke recipients and their families. These stories reinforced exactly why we support this organization – Ambucs truly changes lives, one ride at a time.
At Hart Heating & AC, we believe that being successful in business comes with a responsibility to give back to the community that supports us. Organizations like Ambucs represent the very best of what makes Lubbock special – neighbors helping neighbors through practical, life-changing initiatives. That’s why we’re especially proud to announce that our own James Hart has accepted a position on the Ambucs Board of Directors! This deeper level of involvement will allow us to contribute not just financially, but through leadership and vision for the organization’s future in our region. We’re committed to increasing awareness about Ambucs’ mission and helping them reach even more people who could benefit from their services. The relationships we’ve built through this organization have enriched our business and our lives in ways we never expected when we first became involved.
As we returned to our regular work week, servicing Lubbock’s heating and cooling needs, we brought with us renewed energy and purpose. Supporting organizations like Ambucs reminds us that our business is about more than just keeping homes comfortable – it’s about being part of a community that cares for all its members. We encourage other local businesses to explore how they might partner with Ambucs or similar non-profits. The return on investment isn’t measured in dollars, but in changed lives and stronger communities. We’re already looking forward to next year’s conference and finding new ways to support this incredible organization throughout the year.
